Malaysia’s leader has denied that his deputy’s wife was involved in the killing of a young Mongolian woman.
Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi says action will be taken against blogger Raja Petra Raja Kamaruddin who made the allegation.
Raja Petra signed a sworn statement earlier this month claiming he has evidence that the wife of Deputy Prime Minister Najib Razak, Rosmah, had a role in the killing of Altantuya Shaariibuu. Raja Petra was earlier charged with sedition for implying that Najib Razak was involved in her death.
Speaking Tuesday, Abdullah said Raja Petra’s actions were “unacceptable,” and that he did not believe the couple were involved in Shaariibuu’s death.
The 28-year-old Shaariibuu was apparently blown up with explosives in 2006.
